Tuscany Elopement

Ana + Justin

When Ana first booked me, the plan was a wedding right here in Toronto....and then, casually, she emailed to say they’d decided to scrap all of that and elope in Tuscany instead...and would I be willing to come along and photograph it? Naturally, I said yes before my brain could even process the word Italy.
They rented the most jaw-droppingly beautiful villa, the kind that makes you question every life choice that doesn’t involve living in the Tuscan countryside.
I arrived the night before their elopement, which began with a trip into a tiny town to sign their marriage license, followed by wandering cobblestone streets and exploring some local spots. We stopped at a café for lunch—pizza, obviously—then headed back to the villa where the planner, chef, florist, and myself (aka the entire guest list) watched them exchange vows in the most intimate, heartfelt ceremony. The day wrapped up exactly how all weddings should: a long dinner, espresso-fueled conversations, laughter echoing through the villa, and a spontaneous dip in the pool. No timelines, no crowds—just love, Tuscany, and a day that was exactly as it way meant to be.
